I must confess that I am more of a savoury person. I would rather eat a sandwich after a meal than dessert – when will this become acceptable? Asian Harvest Bowl
Harvest bowls are the new trendy thing in healthy eating and considering my family’s green-leaning, are right up my alley. The best part is they are so simple. You choose a bunch of your favourite crunchy salad and veg, add a grain, some delicious protein, toss them all into a bowl and top with a juicy dressing. Quick, easy, super tasty and healthy to boot!

These fresh, light herby fritters are one of my go-to foods for a quick, tasty meal. The thing I absolutely love about this recipe is that it is so versatile. You can have these for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner or even a midnight snack! Leave out the cheese for a healthier version (but be warned: the cheese makes them SO tasty!) Serve on its own as a lovely, light meal or top with a poached egg, some spicy chicken breasts or ostrich kebabs fresh off the braai!
